On July 22nd The Rock will lay hands on Bryan and Jennifer Lucas and their kids to send them off to Spain to reach people for Jesus. It is an important time for our church. To send and commission people for ministry is a privilege. There is sadness and loss, just as there was for the early church in Antioch. But there is also hopeful anticipation of what God is going to do in their lives!
Please mark your calendars and plan on being in church July 22nd. We will commission the Lucas' and then have a pizza dinner following to celebrate them.

Only Begotten
A mistranslation of the Greek word monogenes (John 3:16, et al.), which actually means "unique" or "one of a kind." The Arians used this word to deny Christ's deity, but the rest of the church understood it to mean that the Son eternally related as a son to the Father.

Children's Ministry
This week Rock Kids will be in the service for Family Worship Weekend. We will have packets for them to pick up as they come in. The packets have coloring & activity pages, crayons, markers, pens and pencils. It also contains a snack. At the end of the service the kids can take their coloring & activity pages, and return the packet to the box where they got it from.
