We just celebrated our national “relationship” holiday, Valentine’s Day. Whether you love or hate Valentine’s Day, it is hard to miss. However you spent Valentine’s Day, may it be a reminder to us that we are in various kinds of relationships with people. We are friends, sons & daughters, moms & dads, husbands & wives, co-workers, neighbors, classmates, teammates, and many more. All of us know that relationships can be happy & sad, fun & hard, fulfilling & draining, serious & lighthearted - in many contexts and sharing many emotions!

God gives us advice on how to conduct relationships. In fact, God has created relationships and knows the human heart better than anyone. Why would we seek relationship advice from the world when the Bible gives us time-tested, truthful, and trustworthy wisdom on relationships?

This Sunday we will return to our sermon series in Ephesians. We will focus on Eph. 5:21, a transition verse that takes us from ways we imitate God to how to conduct human relationships. I look forward to worshiping together and seeking God in His Word!

"…but be filled with the Spirit… submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ." - Ephesians 5:18b; 21

Children's Ministry

This week Rock Kids will be digging into the story of Jesus helping Thomas with doubts, found in John 20:24-29. The kids will learn the Bible point "Jesus is real." While younger kids probably don't struggle with doubts about Jesus, but older kids might be starting to struggle with doubts. Either way, it can be hard for kids to think of Jesus as a friend when they can't see him. We want to help kids learn that because Jesus is real, we can be his friend. Jesus is glad when we believe in him even though we can't see him.
