We are fascinated by the future. From endless stories of future exploits and time travel, to personally wondering what our future holds, we can't get enough of pondering the future. The Bible gives us a window into our future as Christians. Our future is one of great hope! The hope of the new heavens and new earth giving us a complete change of our circumstances. The hope of dwelling with God for eternity in the fullness of joy. The hope of absolute personal transformation to be like Jesus. We conclude our advent sermon series this Sunday celebrating the hope we have in Jesus!

Come to The Rock and worship this Sunday. It will do us well to gather together in worship of Jesus - the true meaning and hope of Christmas!

Christmas Eve Service - 5:00 pm

We will join Peninsula Community Church for Christmas Eve. Paul will lead in worship, I will read a passage of Scripture, and the pastoral staff at PCC will do the rest. Take a few minutes on Christmas Eve to worship our Savior!

"Beloved, we are God’s children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like Him, because we shall see Him as He is." - 1 John 3:2

Theological Word of the Week:

Humiliation of Christ

One of the two “states” of Christ, the other being exaltation. The state of humiliation includes four aspects of his work: his incarnation, suffering, death, and burial.

Exaltation of Christ

One of the two “states” of Christ, the other being humiliation. The state of exaltation includes four aspects of his work: his resurrection, ascension into heaven, session at the right hand of God, and return in glory and power.

Children's Ministry

This week Rock Kids will be digging into the story of Jesus being born, found in Luke 2:1-20. The kids will learn the Bible point "Jesus came for us even when we feel like nobodies." Most kids have felt like nobodies at some point in their life. They might feel invisible to the "cool" kids at school, or had a feeling like their opinions don't matter in family decisions. We want them to see that even if they feel like nobodies, to Jesus, they are not nobodies. Jesus came to be with them, even when they feel like nobodies, because to Jesus they are somebodies.
