Are you stressed yet?! After all, Christmas is just a few short days away. Feelings of stress, anxiety, and even dread can accompany the days leading up to Christmas. My prayer is that Jesus can keep pointing us back to the truths of Christmas in Jesus!

I am preaching through a Christmas Sermon Series entitled “Jesus in Christmas: Past, Present, and Yet to Come.” This Sunday I will focus on our present state in Jesus. We are greatly blessed by Jesus’ humble sacrifice for us - He came as a baby (a great act of humility), lived for us a righteous life, and died for us a sinner’s death (the greatest act of humility). This inevitably leads to thankfulness and imitation of Jesus on our part.

Come to The Rock and worship this Sunday. It will do us well to gather together in worship of Jesus - the true meaning and hope of Christmas!

Congratulations Brianna!: Brianna Lyons graduates from her Park Ranger training program this Friday! We at The Rock want to congratulate Brianna and look forward to seeing her back in church soon. She has invited anyone to come to her graduation on Friday, Dec. 14 at 1:00 pm at Santa Rosa Junior College, Public Safety Training Center (5743 Skylane Blvd., Windsor CA 95492).

"…though He was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men." - Philippians 2:6-7

Children's Ministry

This week Rock Kids will be digging into the story of Jesus answering Nicodemus' tough questions, found in John 3:1-21. The kids will learn the Bible point "Jesus isn't afraid of hard questions." Kids have a lot of questions. Often for people, the church can feel like an unsafe place to ask questions. Asking questions can feel like a sign of lack of faith. We want to help kids see that asking questions, even tough ones, is a great way to get to know Jesus better. Questions help us grow our faith.
