This week Rock Kids will be digging into the idea that God delights in His people and learning the Bible point "God is joyful, so we're joyful." Passages like Zephaniah 3:16-17, Luke 15:8-10, Psalm 18:19, Psalm 37:23, & Psalm 149:3-5 reveal how God is joyful and how we, as His creation, bring Him the most joy. God rejoices over us and delights in us, and is thrilled when someone turns to Him. Joy can be a hard concept for kids. We want to help kids see that unlike happiness, joy is rooted in the unchanging truth that God loves us and wants a relationship with us. No matter what else happens, we can have joy in that.
