Baptisms are meant to be a communal event! The community of Jesus comes together to celebrate what God has done in the life of a believer. The ones being baptized (Katelyn & Dylan Wiley) are committing to a life time of fellowship with the community of God. And the witnesses to the baptism (The church!) are committing to a life-time of supporting and encouraging the one being baptized. It is a beautiful picture of love and care in the church of Jesus. This Sunday we are meeting for our church service at the beach (Bruce’s Beach - 28th St. in Manhattan Beach). Come at 4:00 pm to visit and get settled, then we will start our service at 4:30 pm. NO SERVICE IN OUR BUILDING THIS SUNDAY!

A central component of the “baptistic” view of baptism, which holds that only those who have given reasonable evidence of believing in Christ should be baptized.
