Advent is the 4 weeks on the Christian church calendar leading up to Christmas. Advent gives us a chance to remind ourselves of Christmas’ true purpose and glory in Jesus. The next few weeks at The Rock offers a few opportunities to fellowship and point to Jesus!
Sunday Service - Dec. 2: This Sunday is special for a number of reasons. First, it is the 1st Sunday of Advent - we will read a passage of Scripture and light the Advent candle. Second, it is communion Sunday - we will join together and partake in the Lord’s Supper. Third, we have Pastor Israel Solomon from Paradigm LA to share the vision for The Harbor. We look forward to hearing about this church plant and how we can participate!
Communion Dinner - Dec. 2: After church we are invited over to Vanessa’s house to eat together. In honor of Paradigm LA, Vanessa is hosting a Ethiopian meal. Please come join together in fellowship!

Children's Ministry
This week Rock Kids will be digging into the story of when God told Joseph to go to Egypt, found in Matthew 2:13-23. The kids will learn the Bible point "God ants us to be safe." Kids are familiar with adults in their lives giving them boundaries to keep them safe. We want kids to see that God shows us what to do to stay safe too.
